River Song isn’t the first companion of the Doctor’s to have adventures with him in anachronic order. Here, the Doctor and Mel’s respective timelines are represented visually; his timeline in TARDIS blue, hers in bright orange for fairly obvious reasons.
Being such a fanboy, is it any wonder that Moffat had his own ideas of how to mess with our minds when it comes to River Song.
